Biography

Chris Mayers is a highly experienced Extended Scope Physiotherapist, Osteopath, and MSK Sonographer. He has fully integrated diagnostic ultrasound into his clinical practice and performs articular and peri-articular ultrasound-guided injections.

Chris is the Co-Founder and Faculty Lead of SMUG (Sports Medicine Ultrasound Group) – www.ultrasoundtraining.co.uk – dedicated to raising standards in MSK ultrasound education. He also runs Complete Physio in London, treating recreational and elite athletes, and has worked with the English Institute of Sport, British Athletics, Tottenham Hotspur FC, and at the London Olympics.

He holds a CASE-accredited PG Cert in musculoskeletal ultrasound and teaches both nationally and internationally across universities, professional sports clubs, clinics, and conferences. Chris is also a visiting lecturer at University College London (UCL) and Canterbury Christ Church University.
